Design 911 / Anne's Traditional Living Room

Anne wrote in from Chicago regarding her great score of FREE Danish chairs. She is in a bit of a quandary because she is not sure if she wants to the integrate them into her living room. The biggest problem is that her style leans towards traditional, and these chairs are certainly Danish modern. But when she saw them on her neighbor's curb (and grabbed them) she was immediately drawn to their lines.
Anne has already sanded one down and stained it a darker color, (which I think looks great) but she is stuck on the upholstery. She added she would like to recover the chairs but I'm not sure which direction to go in.
Well Anne since your style is a bit traditional how about adding a little animal print to the room? You already have a lot of solids in your living room so going with a subtle animal print could add a little unexpected texture to the room. If you are not sold on a "real" animal print you may want to consider a faux look. Above is a chair that is the inspiration for the pair. Hope you like it and consider it for your living room!
If you need some help with a furniture item, remember I am still on the hunt for more items to post. For more information about Design 911 click here.

A designer friend of mine (and her husband) are coming to stay in LA for the month of August and are looking for a place sublet. Preferably they would like to be near the beach but are open to other areas.
