Mary Magdalene Charity Design Project

I am so happy to share with you the latest charity design project I recently co-designed with Jordan Cappella. We came on the Mary Magdalene project last month and in 2 weeks we pulled a ton of donated items and in 4 days we completely furnished the 4 bedroom house. The Mary Magdalene Home is a safe home for woman subjected to sex trafficking. While Hartman House (a non profit organization that helps rebuild homes) was looking for a new charity to work with Mary Magdalene was eager for the help.

Jordan and I spent many days shopping and sent out lots of emails looking for donated items. Some of you opened up your homes and others gave monetary donations to help us. We thank you all for your generosity. We used our donations and vintage pieces by customizing them for the home. For instance we took the entry table and repainted it white. But left those amazing brass handles and gold detail. The dining table and chairs was light wood and with a few coats of black gloss the set looked like an expensive table and benches.

I am in the process of putting together the blog that will feature more information and links to all the vendors. In the meantime feel free to take a look at our pictures posted here on my site and a great little video that shows the before and after of each of the rooms. Hope you enjoy the video!
